Synopsis
A Montana farming family is confronted by others who are encroaching on their land. Forry J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is experienced in the world of rodeo. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and reverts back to the SoCal speaking voice he usually uses… Featured in WatchMojo: The 10 Best TV Shows of the Summer That Aren’t on Your Radar (2018). I live in Darby, Montana, where most of this is filmed – just yesterday I was filmed across the street in a field with some horses and cattle. I think the show is a pretty solid story and in a niche where Costner gives his all. One thing I noticed in the first season, given my half-Indian side, is that it makes you wonder who the good guys are and who the bad guys are – maybe both sides are both good and bad. I admit it’s cool to watch them film. When I’m here, the ranch is right down the road from me and I pass by almost every day on my way to fish in the Bitterroot River.
