Scenario
After 20 years, Odysseus finally returns to Ithaca, where he finds his wife imprisoned by the tyrants who are vying to become king, and his son facing death at their hands. This is the third time Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche have starred together in a film.

The Odyssey has been adapted many times, often focusing on the fantasy and adventurous elements of Odysseus’ journey. The film, which begins when Odysseus lands on his native island kingdom, deals with Odysseus’s His inner journey of grappling with guilt, anxiety, PTSD and his desire to reconnect with his family after 20 years apart.
Watch their eyes, they say so much with just them
Fiennes and Binoche are excellent individually and captivating when they are together on screen. Don’t believe the low ratings, this is a fine adaptation of the deep and human parts of the Odyssey.
