Originally set to air on CBS in 2020, the series was canceled due to COVID just before the first episode was filmed. . It has now been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season, based on Mickey Haller’s second book, “The Brass Verdict.” Mickey Haller owns several cars, each with a personalized California license plate, with legal terms.

The Lincoln Lawyer was actually better than I expected. I never read the books it’s based on, but I watched the Matthew McConaughey movie and thought it was really good but not worth making into a series. I really expected it to be some kind of low-budget rip-off.
I couldn’t have been more wrong
I actually enjoyed it more than the movie. I didn’t want to watch it until I saw all the great reviews and that it was one of the most watched series for Netflix that year. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo does a good job in the lead role, and Becky Newton, Neve Campbell, Angus Sampson, among others, do fantastic work in the supporting roles.
