Synopsis
Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private detective ad and becomes a spy in an undercover investigation at a nursing home. “The Top Agent” based on a Chilean documentary. A remake of El Agente Topo (2020). I think a lot of fiction has the natural goal of making you think, “It was an honor to share the lives of these fictional characters.” This show undeniably hits that mark. Even those who come for the mystery, which focuses less on it, should be surprised by the humanity that shines through not only in the writing, but in the performances of all the characters. Props to all departments involved. While Netflix has been working hard to renew these shows lately, I hope they take this opportunity and give them a second season, as I hope to see more of these incredible characters. Journeys.
