Live-action adaptation of the 1937 Disney animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.. Check out all the major announcements and news from D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.. Following comments from Peter Dinklage claiming the original film portrayed the dwarves in a negative light, Disney announced on January 25, 2022 that they would be taking a different approach to the characters, including consulting members of the dwarfism community. Many fans of the original, including Dylan Postl, pointed out that many of Dinklage’s remarks were incorrect. For example, he said the dwarves did not live in a cave.
