When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type”; and prepared to audition for people like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they should at least take it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that the project had been brought to Harrison Ford, generating interest from other notable actors. In the end, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince her, but he was elated nonetheless. The characters have grown a lot even in the first and second episodes, the jokes are perfectly timed and executed, and all the actors do a great job! This is one of the best piolet episodes I’ve seen in a long time! Harrison Ford does an amazing job in his supporting role, and Jason Segal does a wonderful job playing a flawed, damaged character trying to be a better man and father. This is one of the best shows I’ve seen in a while! This show made me laugh like I haven’t laughed in a long time. As a psychology student, this show is hilarious, and as a theater student, I can appreciate how well the script flows. I can’t understand the negative reviews because this is already one of my favorite shows after only two episodes. Hope the rest is just as good!!
