Synopsis

The special effects, which I think took up most of the budget, looked like they were made in 2002. on your home computer. CGI explosions fill the screen with dazzling color, but lack any sense of scale, purpose or urgency. At times it felt like the filmmakers just gave up and decided to drown the audience in noise and poorly rendered space junk. In the end, "Mārtiņš" is a cinematic black hole.
