Ralph Macchio told Uproxx that there are three brand new angles on the famous crane kick

A decade after fighting at the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, middle-aged Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence found themselves once again as martial arts rivals. The Cobra Kai team searched the studio’s vault and found a ton of never-before-seen clips that they were able to introduce into the series through flashbacks. One of them includes Zabka’s real-life mother, who was in the stands from different angles, and no one saw them until 2018.
This means that it was “The Next Karate Kid” who changed his name, while Cobra Kai kept the name given to him earlier
Many people believe that Miyagi’s name 39;s 39;on his tombstone is a continuity error, given that in Karate Kid 4 (1994) his name is stated to be Keisuke, but in fact earlier on the plaque that Chozen held for him in Karate Kid 2 (1986), it was shown that it was Naryoshi. However, another interesting fact is that the name given in the second part of The Karate Guy was not the original name given to him. Miyagi.

In “Karate Kid” (1984), Miyagi’s name is Hideo on the tags attached to the 1948 Ford keys given to Daniel for his birthday. I remember watching the Karate Kid movies as a kid, and I can’t express how impressed and surprised I was by the level of quality of this series. It successfully brings back the old “feel” of the films, while adding a new and complex storyline.
