After recovering, the show went back into production
Synopsis
A retired CIA agent is haunted by both the agency he once worked for and his own nightmares when an unknown man suddenly visits him after nearly three decades. Production was halted in March 2020 due to government restrictions. During this time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed and then treated for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Season 1 was great
Bridges referred to the return as coming back from a "long weekend" on a podcast in July 2022.. Featured on The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (2024). This will be a short review.
It keeps you completely glued to see what happens next
Actually the first few episodes were just epic, Jeff Bridges is sublime. Good backstory and basically kicking ass, let alone in the face, is what we want to see from this so-called Old Man. Well, I know it’s what I wanted to see anyway.
Very disappointing so far
Unfortunately, season 2 started as a completely different show, slow story, boring, bad, I would almost say, bad acting from Lithgow. All around, the exact opposite of everything that was great about season 1. Seems like they should have made a mini-series and left it at that.
