INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Before setting up this repack, make sure you have uninstalled all your Sims 2 games, including their registry entries if you have them on your system, make sure there is no “EA Games” folder in your documents (“My Documents” ). ‘ for xp users) folder after uninstalling the previous Sims 2 game because ‘EA Games’ contains a folder ‘The Sims 2’ which consists of cache and mods from the previous game which may cause the game to crash….This folder will be updated for this repack after first game run……..
setup or can run but with some errors, same for uninstall(Avast users: Disable DeepScreen in Antivirus settings)
DISABLE ANTI-VIRUS (IMPORTANT) BEFORE EXITTING ‘Setup.exe’ because the anti-virus will mark ‘setup’ as a suspicious file so it cannot be run . After setup, click ‘Configure’, point to installation directory, , click next and next, select the required software (Direct X [provided in the Redist folder]), again next, finally to ‘Install’…PLAY THE GAME FROM THE WORKSHEET using run as administrator…. The first time you open the game, the game will take some time to launch (black screen) and intro video skipping please be patient next time it will launch normally and fast…. The game will always work show ‘Mansion and Garden Stuff’ loading screen because it’s the latest expansion it includes everything..
Always open the game , using the Run as administrator option to avoid the crash/save issue
…. When loading each world for the first time , it takes time to load, please be patient, it’s like running 10 games at once (don’t assume it’s frozen), just wait and let it load….. If it still crashes, lower the graphics settings in the game options and make sure you meet the system requirements. NOTE.
If you can’t change the game’s resolution
Change “Shadows” from high to low or medium in the game’s graphics/performance options, otherwise you’ll have a black square under your Sims instead of indoor shadows… from 800×600 or whatever, read the text file ‘Reolution change.txt’ to fix it… If you still can’t get it, feel free to private message me on my facebook page.
