Synopsis
It follows a New York City cop and his rookie partner Angela as they have a tough day doing the dangerous and routine work of a city cop. I didn’t expect to like it, but the movie has heart. It kept moving. I understand that the previous review said it was too slow, but that’s style. It reminds me of the crime genre of old, without the detective edge. It would be great to turn it into an annual 3 or 6 episode BBC-style miniseries. The actors had good chemistry, and the situational dialogue was believable. No spoilers, but I have a good idea where the sequel is headed. Likeable characters, felt like the pilot, and was over quickly. With clever writing, the premise could have gone in many directions. I wish I could watch it again next week. A cross between Starsky and Hutch and Law and Order.
